Elephant Larry – Twin Scientists: Episode 5

Last year, the amazingly hilarious comedy group Elephant Larry approached us about contributing to a web series that they had written. “Twin Scientists” follows two (surprise, surprise) identical twin scientists, Harry and Barry, and their put-upon assistant, Laszlo. In each episode, they tear apart a different fabric of the universe, and yet seemingly end up back at square one. This was a joy to work on, and our contact, Stefan Lawrence, really made this shine. Here’s the episode that Kate directed, “Giant Mutant Frog Lovers.”

Time Out New York – Dating Horror Story

The wonderful folks at Time Out New York commissioned us to make another short based off of a reader’s letter. Coinciding with their 2013 Valentine’s Day issue, this tale was chosen from several submissions to their “Worst Dating Horror Story” contest. Dan animated it and supplied the narration.

We were elated to work on this project, not only because of the quality of the collaborators, but because they brought their A-game. This episode features the amazingly funny Natasha Leggero.

Jordan, Jesse, Go!: The Video Game

In 2009, Dan built a browser-based Flash game, based on the popular comedy podcast, “Jordan Jesse, Go!” Along with creating all of the graphics, animation, and programming, he also wrote the script. it features the voice talent of the titular hosts, Jordan Morris and Jesse Thorn, and also comedian and actor Andy Daly, and author and Daily Show contributor John Hodgman. The game can be played on the Maximum Fun website.

Time Out New York – Bad Brokers

In October of 2010, Time Out New York approached us to make a very quick, low cost short film to supplement their annual “Real Estate” issue. This is a story submitted by a reader, and was featured both on their site and as a mobile video triggered by a QR code on the physical magazine issue. Music by Ben Milam. Dan Telfer’s Extinction Event

Comedian Dan Telfer contacted Catsuit Studios about making a little introductory video for his show, “Extinction Event.” We’re big fans of Telfer and his comedy, and were delighted to produce this video. It aired at the Mayne Stage on December 28, 2012 at the beginning of the night.
